A Holy Place

A Holy Place

<Transforming Gwacheon into a holy place>

Recently, the pastors of Gwacheon, South Korea are growing increasingly alarmed because they have heard rumors that Gwacheon will become a holy place. Since Gwacheon has long been a smaller town on the way to the bigger city of Seoul, an old Korean saying goes, "Seoul is a scary place for people from the countryside. They should learn to crawl in Gwacheon before they even think of walking into Seoul." Sometimes people can get all worked up over something before they even experience it for themselves.

The three syllables of the Korean phrase seongjihwa (聖地化) mean holy, land, and transformation, respectively. Simply speaking, carrying out seongjihwa is to make a place holy. If such a thing were to happen, wouldn't it be a cause for celebration?

The Bible refers to the kingdom of heaven in the spiritual realm as a holy city. The Bible is also called The Holy Bible because it is God's word. Christians often use words like holy spirit and holy temple. It is good for people, places, and things to be holy because the opposite of holy is wicked. Pastors are supposed to transform their hearts into holy temples. They should serve the holy spirit within their hearts and speak on behalf of the spirit when teaching their congregation members (1 Cor 3:9, 16-17). Why, then, were the pastors of Gwacheon alarmed when they heard rumors about Gwacheon becoming a holy place? This makes us question their motives and the identities of the spirits residing in their hearts. Should we still call them pastors if they are afraid of things that becoming more holy? Should we consider congregation members who are against becoming more holy to be true believers? This type of reaction is really an unforgivable atrocity. Can God be pleased with them? Their reactions reinforce the idea that we are living in the end of the age.

Their words and actions proved that they neither believe in God nor do they belong to God. We have perceived they are not believers. Pastors in Gwacheon put up banners that read, "Against the idea of turning Gwacheon into a holy land." Having banded together with citizens' associations, those pastors have been conducting activities to drive Shincheonji out of Gwacheon. Would such an action be appropriate for pastors?

Jesus said that because he did not belong to the world, those who belong to him do not belong to the world either (Jn 15:18-20). James said, "Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God," (Jas 4:4). In addition, Apostle John said, "They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them," (1 Jn 4:5).

The world hates Shincheonji because Shincheonji does not belong to the world (Jn 15:18-19). The pastors of Gwacheon have united with the world to persecute and expel Shincheonji. The word of God cannot be found in them. Their actions prove and they do not belong to God and that they have united with the world. No one who examines this situation can deny that the pastors of Gwacheon have become hostile to God by shunning that which is holy. They have united with the world and are persecuting us intensely because they have abandoned God's word. Aren't their actions hostile to God?

White cannot become black, and black cannot become white. Black beans are black beans, and red beans are red beans. People who belong to God will listen to us. God is the word, and he was with the word in the beginning. This word is life and light (Jn 1:1-4). The word is the seed that allows us to be children of God (Lk 8:11; 1 Pt 1:23; Jas 1:18). Therefore, people who lack the word, are not God's children and they do not possess the light and life that are granted by God.

We in Shincheonji would like to propose a public discussion with the pastors of Gwacheon--a debate regarding the truth as recorded in the Bible. If they are so confident in their understanding, they will be happy to join this discussion. If, on the other hand, they make absurd excuses and refuse to come, they will demonstrate their ignorance. Some time ago, the chairman of Shincheonji sent a list of biblical questions to a so-called cult expert from the Christian Council of Korea. We are still waiting for a response. The chairman of Shincheonji proposed a similar public discussion with this cult expert, but he still refuses to acknowledge the request.

How can God and his seed reside in people who have united with the world? What can pastors who have lost the word and become secular possibly offer their congregation members? Without the word, pastors cannot lead believers down the path of heaven. They cannot offer them life or the seed of heaven. If a pastor does not possess the seed of life, how can he give it to his congregation members? If, however, their hearts are full of Satan's lies, they will spew persecution and curses from the overflow of their hearts? Pastors must possess God and his word. The members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will gladly drop everything and believe in them if they can overcome us with the word of life. If they lose the debate, however, they should admit it publicly and learn the word from Shincheonji.

The pastors of Gwacheon have united with the world (through many citizen's associations). They shun that which is holy and commit atrocities in an effort to expel Shincheonji from "their" city. Shincheonji is interested only in promoting that which is holy. We demand that they repent of their evil actions!

Cults and the End of Churches

Cults and the End of Churches

Let us discuss cults and the end of each generation within over the 6,000 years of biblical history. If we compare Adam to Noah, Adam was the corrupt, worn-out tradition and Noah was considered orthodox. Adam’s world, which had been considered orthodox, became a cult, and Noah’s world was the new orthodoxy. Adam became a possession of Satan, but Noah belonged to God. Later, however, Noah’s sons Canaan and Ham became heretics just like Adam. At that time, Moses was appointed as the new orthodoxy. Canaan became a possession of Satan, but Moses belonged to God.

Abraham’s descendants—the Pharisees and teachers of the law—were heretics who belonged to Satan (Mt 23:29-33; Jn 8:44). Jesus, on the other hand, was truly orthodox because he belonged to God (Mt 3:16-17; Jn 10:25-30, Jn 17:7-8). Just as was mentioned, the previous generation became an old, worn-out tradition and a cult. The subsequent generation, which was created later, became orthodox. A man is either orthodox or heretical depending on the type of spirit that resides within him. We cannot see the spirits within people, but we can hear the words people speak (refer to 1 Jn 4:1-6). Not only is God the word (Jn 1:1-4), but Jesus is also the word (1 Jn 1:1-2). Although Jesus was a physical being, he is also the word because God, who is the word, is with him.

A person can be considered orthodox if his testimony is spoken according to the Bible (the word). If his testimony, however, runs counter to the words of the Bible, he is a heretic. Consider the following example: God told Adam that he would die if he ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gn 2:17). Satan, in contrast, said that eating from that tree would not lead to death (Gn 3:1-5). What happened? Adam and Eve died after eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (refer to Gn 3:6; Ez 18:4). God’s word was true and orthodox, but Satan’s words were lies. Satan’s words were heretical (refer to Jn 8:44-45).

There was an article published recently (Nov. 11, 2009) in a Korean newspaper that described an incident that took place in a Christian forum. A man named Shim called a man named Choi a heretic because he said he believed that the Christian doctrine of the trinity should be understood as three separate Gods instead of three-in-one. The fundamental principles of Christianity should be considered before people just insist on their own understandings. We should only decide who is right and who is wrong after these underlying issues are discussed.

People hold all sorts of unbiblical opinions because the devil who opposes God is with them (Rv 20:2; 2 Thes 2:3-4). These people have inherited the devil’s “genes.” Mr. Choi is part of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK), which stems from the Presbyterian Church. The Presbyterian Church is the church of John Calvin. This is an issue, therefore, related to discerning whether people belong to the church of Jesus or the church of Calvin. We must listen to people’s words (testimonies) to determine the type of spiritual “genes” they carry.

The teachings of the church of Jesus differ from the teachings of Calvin. Their doctrines stem from the roots of their respective religions and the spirits within them. Mr. Choi’s opinion is actually the word of the spirit from whom Mr. Choi inherited his spiritual genes. Amos 3:3 asks, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” This incident with Mr. Shim is not unprecedented. Rumors have long been circulating that Mr. Choi is a heretic proselytizing and producing more heretics just like him.

The root of the problem, however, does not lie in Mr. Choi himself. The problems arise from Mr. Choi’s foundation, the Christian Council of Korea. It was pointed out in the Korean Press Association’s seventh Christian Press Forum that Korean Presbyterian churches were instrumental in the establishment of the CCK. The CCK was established by a group of conservative Korean Christians in support of a Constitutional amendment that would allow the Korean president at the time to run for a third consecutive term. The Korean Press Association forum cited the CCK’s own webpage as evidence of this fact. (This content has since been deleted.) The CCK has grown out of the Presbyterian Church. John Calvin is the root of the Presbyterian church because he established it. At the time of its establishment, even Calvin’s Presbyterian Church was called a cult by the Catholic church.

I assume that you are well aware of the people who gave information about Shincheonji to MBC PD Note. I also assume you realize whether or not they should be called orthodox or heretics. A cult is an organization with heretical actions. Those who spread lies about Shincheonji to MBC PD Note acted in a heretical way just like the people supporting them (their root). Jesus spoke of this same logic when he accused the Pharisees, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire … When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies,” (Jn 8:44). The heretical CCK is a branch of Calvin the heretic’s tree. This heretical CCK hired and appointed three other heretics—Mr. Jin, who was once a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mr. Choi, and Mr.Shin—to be cult discrimination experts. The CCK has helped these three people to conduct cult discrimination seminars in the community. Isn’t it obvious, then, that these three people have also acted in a heretical way.

Aren’t the roots, the trunk, the branches, and the fruit all part of the same tree? With Calvin as their root, the tree, its branches, and its fruit are all heretical (refer to Lk 6:43-45). The CCK calls Shincheonji a cult because Shincheonji’s teachings and actions are different from their own. In fact, the teachings of Shincheonji are the teachings of the Church of Jesus. The teachings of the CCK, on the other hand, are the teachings of Calvin. The CCK’s so-called cult discrimination experts (conversion education pastors) have gone so far as to give sleeping pills to the members of other churches or denominations. The conversion education pastors tape people’s mouths and handcuff them. They confine people and force them to receive conversion education. If people refuse to convert to the churches of the conversion pastors, then the pastors commit them to mental institutes. These are the actions of the so-called cult experts appointed by the CCK. These are the actions of the Presbyterian Church. This same Presbyterian Church even bowed down to the Japanese emperor as a god during the most recent Japanese colonization of Korea. Furthermore, people from the Presbyterian Church even manipulated the husband of a Shincheonji member to murder her. She was murdered because she refused to believe the doctrines of the Presbyterian Church and refused to convert to their denomination. They have acted according to Jesus’ words in Jn 16:2 and have murdered people just like Calvin did.

Let’s look carefully at the doctrines of another of the pastors of the Presbyterian Church as well as CCK. Mr. Jin claims that the four living creatures in Revelation refer to the four gospels. Aren’t these, in fact, very different? Perhaps he does not know the meaning of the Chinese characters for each term or the meaning of the parables in the Bible. You may find it surprising that he received a doctoral degree even after dropping out of elementary school in the second grade. If the word is symbolized by the seed (refer to Lk 8:11), this man is spreading weeds—the seeds of the devil (refer to Mt 13:39). He forces people to convert to his denomination—the organization of the devil. He forcefully commits anyone who refuses to listen to him and his organization to a mental institution. The conversion education pastors violate people’s basic human rights. Aren’t these actions barbaric? Anyone who realizes that their words are nothing but the seeds of the devil will never convert to their denomination.

What about the teachings of Mr. Shin? The CCK also appointed a man named Shin along with Mr. Jin to conduct cult discrimination seminars. In these seminars, Mr. Shin boldly bears false witness of things he claims to have seen and done. In fact, Mr. Shin denies Jesus. He once claimed that instead of eating and drinking the flesh and blood of Jesus we must eat and drink someone else’s flesh and blood to receive salvation. He also claimed that we can only get our prayers answered by praying in someone else’s name, not the name of Jesus. Apparently, Mr. Shin is an antichrist (refer to 1 Jn 2:18-19). Heretics produce more heretics. Mr. Shin has too far in using unbiblical teachings to label others as heretics. True believers with sound judgment will be able to take a look at this situation and easily discern who is the real heretic.

We have examined the words and doctrines of the three people—Mr. Choi, Mr. Jin, and Mr. Shin—whom the CCK appointed as cult discrimination experts. Who gave them spiritual birth? The CCK. Who, then, gave spiritual birth to the CCK? The Presbyterian Church. Who gave birth to the Presbyterian Church? Calvin did. The roots and branches of a plant are the same as the mother plant. It does not matter whether they claim to be doing good or not. They call us a cult and persecute us to hide the fact that they themselves are the true cult. Again, the CCK is the real cult, and their cult discrimination experts are the real heretics themselves. Their actions prove that they are heretics.

We have twice asked a pastor belonging to the CCK to answer a set of questions regarding the Bible. To this day, however, we have yet to receive a response. How can a believer, who is outside the Bible and carrying out an arbitrary life of faith, possibly understand the Bible? Today, Shincheonji Church of Jesus would like to announce that the CCK is the true cult. We also pray that those who belong to the CCK will be born again through the blood of Christ. Those who receive the revelation and the testimony of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will know the only true God and Jesus (refer to Mt 11:27; Jn 17:3). By receiving the word of revelation, they will also know the true meaning of the Bible and eventually attain salvation.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus and MBC’s PD Note

Shincheonji Church of Jesus and MBC’s PD Note

<Shincheonji Church of Jesus>

Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) is different from other churches. The word SCJ preaches is not from men but from God and Jesus (Jn 6:45; Rv 1 ~ 22). Our church name, Shincheonji Church of Jesus—Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, was prophesied in the Bible (Rv 21:1, 15:5). SCJ is not worn-out and corrupt like the rest of the world’s churches. SCJ has been created by God according to the Bible (refer to Rv 7; Rv 14). SCJ has mastered the Bible and teaches the revealed word clearly (Rv 6, Rv 10) by answering who, when, where, what, why and how (Rv 1:2, 14:3, 22:16). SCJ members believe and act according to the Bible. This is Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Since we are God’s creation, anyone who tries to harm us will be forced to surrender (Is 54:15). We have repeatedly proposed public debates with the groups who continue to call us a cult without reason, but they have never responded to our requests. They are afraid because they have no evidence to support their arguments. In the end, their refusal to respond to us means they have forfeited and SCJ is victorious after all. They should remember that the Bible says a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him (2 Pt 2:19).

<MBC PD note>

Last year, the South Korean TV station MBC aired an episode of their program PD Note that was entirely biased and designed to slander SCJ by distorting the truth. Why did they do that? Some people claimed that the government was involved, but this was just a rumor. In fact, the producers of MBC’s PD Note simply trusted the information they received from an informant without doing anything to confirm‍ it. They took everything the informant said at face value and created the program to tell their own story.

This is what we witnessed concerning the MBC PD Note episode about Shincheonji. MBC’s informant was a man named Mr. Shin, who used to be in Shincheonji. He was expelled from Shincheonji for attempting to lead a coup d'état and install himself as the chairman of Shincheonji. Since then, he has united with a group of pastors running conversion education programs designed to destroy Shincheonji convert its members to their denomination. Together, Mr. Shin and the conversion education pastors lied about Shincheonji to the staff of MBC. These people believed their lies because they belong to the same denomination. MBC PD Note created a distorted report about SCJ because they failed to confirm‍ whether their informants were telling the truth. Now, however, the truth has been revealed.

Mr. Shin claims to be a Christian, yet he betrayed Jesus and his word because of his desire to be higher. As part of his failed attempt at seizing control in SCJ, Mr. Shin proclaimed that SCJ congregation members must pray in the name of the SCJ Chairman instead of in Jesus’ name. He also claimed believers must drink the Chairman’s blood instead of the blood of Jesus. Doesn’t this make Mr. Shin the antichrist (1 Jn 2:18-19)? The pastors who have united with Mr. Shin are sending perfectly sane people to be confined at a mental institute until they agree to stop attending SCJ. They have even condoned the actions of a believer who murdered his wife just because she refused to stop attending SCJ and change her denomination.

Thus far, SCJ has not sought vengeance for the sins of this betrayer and the false pastors working with him or for the lies MBC broadcast about SCJ members. We believe in the Lord and are obedient to him. Jesus promised that vengeance belonged to him and he will certainly repay every wrongdoing (Heb 10:30). In fact, even if we were to seek reparations, all of MBC’s assets would be inadequate to because their lies were so great. We in SCJ believe, however, that God will repay them for what they have done.

MBC is a public broadcasting company funded by Korean taxpayers. They have abused their status by spreading lies over the air and encouraging their viewers to believe lies. This is no longer just about SCJ. They have aired false reports about mad cow disease, stem cell research, and others. These reports are harmful to the Korean government and the Korean people. To what laws does MBC adhere? Who ordered them to air unjust and unrighteous reports? If they still have a conscience, they will air full apologies and retractions. They should work to erase all the lies they have spread on the Internet and they should shut down their entire operation with hearts full of repentance.

So many believers have seen the distorted broadcasting of MBC’s PD Note; so many people have listened to the false pastors and the betrayer who left SCJ. Although the courts sided with SCJ, we hope that such a thing will never happen again. God’s victory is SCJ’s victory.

The Errors of MBC's PD Note

The Errors of MBC's PD Note

MBC's PD Note aired a biased program concerning Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ). Was it premeditated or was it a simple mistake? Did they do so against their will? We consider them guilty because of their biased attitude toward us and their defense of conversion education. It would not be surprising if MBC aired the biased program about SCJ with the hope of increasing its viewer ratings. Not only did MBC ignore the truth about SCJ, its leaders actively fabricated details and presented their lies in such a way that made SCJ seem guilty.

Soon after MBC PD Note's false report was aired, prosecutors and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism thoroughly investigated SCJ. Their report concluded that SCJ was innocent of any wrongdoing. Some members of the Korean Christian press as well select members of Korean society interviewed leaders from SCJ and agreed that PD Note had broadcast lies. Despite these claims, MBC did not air a real correction. Why not? The leaders of MBC were unwilling to fix their mistakes because they were unconcerned about the damage they caused SCJ. The leaders of MBC refused to air a correction because they were only interested in maintaining their reputation and gaining more authority.

MBC PD Note's false broadcast can be traced back to the lies of a man named Shin, a former member of SCJ. A short while after he was expelled, Shin began to claim he had been second in command inside SCJ. Furthermore, Shin began conducting seminars in which he slandered SCJ. He united with a group of conversion education pastors to sabotage SCJ and convert SCJ members to his own back to their denomination. Shin lied to the MBC producers and a pastor's wife who is a friend of an MBC executive. MBC PD Note decided to work together with Shin and the conversion education pastors to broadcast lies that they hoped would increase ratings. Shin betrayed SCJ and attempted to stage a coup d'tat. Now, he has now sided with the conversion pastors.

He spread lies that the Chairman of SCJ is a counterfeit Jesus. Shin did this with the intention of expelling the Chairman and taking over his position. SCJ believers, however, recognized Shin's lies and expelled him.

There are several reasons why members of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) are false believers. The cult experts appointed by the CCK include a person who claims tritheism, a person who called Lee Man Hee (i.e. Chairman of SCJ) Jesus and who told people to pray in Mr. Lee's name, and a person who claimed the four living creatures represent the four gospels. Anyone can see through these lies. Nonetheless, members of the CCK lied to MBC and the program PD Note broadcast a false report about SCJ. The CCK must apologize to the citizens of Korea and to SCJ. MBC's PD Note must also broadcast an on-air apology to SCJ.

We the members of SCJ have been patient and tolerant. We, who have been sealed (Rv 7), gave up our lives for Jesus long ago. We no longer consider our own lives, but Christ who lives in us (refer to Gal 2:20). Therefore, anyone who persecutes and kills us is persecuting and killing Christ. We want people to know this, but how can the unenlightened understand?

Hee’s Oath and Appointed Task

Hee’s Oath and Appointed Task

An innocent young man named Hee was chosen by heaven one day. He wrote an oath in his own blood promising to be faithful to heaven. It was then that he began to suffer. It was a rough and narrow path that he had to walk (Rv 11). God compensated him for his suffering by revealing to Hee the word of truth (Rv 10). Ever since he received it, Hee has had to live with and within the word. He has walked in accordance with every command of the word. The word Hee received allowed him to understand sin, faith, and salvation. Sin is not believing in God. Faith is the promise of the Lord. Hee realized that it is the Lord who prophesies and who gives salvation; it is the Lord who fulfills what he has prophesied.

Hee, just as he promised through his blood, is working to fulfill the work of God by devoting his very body to the cause. It is only when the New Testament—the promise of the Lord—is fulfilled that salvation will come. Hee laid down his life to fulfill the New Testament because he understands that humanity can have no salvation without that fulfillment. Hee has no special abilities, nor is he rich in knowledge or wisdom. Hee is a simple man of the earth who can do nothing by his own power. He has merely resolved to carry out his appointed task by believing and obeying the Lord. Hee believes in the God of righteousness and does everything he can to carry out his work.

Others may look at Hee’s life and question the righteousness of his actions. Some may even go so far as to call some of his actions sinful, but everything Hee has done has been done for the Lord. Hee is willing to do anything if it helps the Lord and his work. Hee does not hesitate to do anything for the sake of the Lord, even if it will hurt him or force him to act in what others consider to be a sinful way. Hee has seen and heard how the prophecies of the New Testament have been fulfilled. He has been testifying about that fulfillment because he was commanded to do so. Hee welcomes anyone who questions the accuracy of his testimony to freely speak to him directly.

Hee’s testimony is just like the testimony of Jesus at the first coming. Jesus saw and testified how God came to him and fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament. Jesus has revealed the words of the opened scroll and the fulfillment of the prophecies to Hee, and Hee alone. Hee is the only one Jesus has commanded directly. Thus, of all the people of the world, Hee is the only one who can testify about the fulfillment of the New Testament (refer to Rv 1:2, 22:16). This generation hates and persecutes Hee without reason. If any other pastor had come and given his own testimony, this generation would have accepted him without persecution (refer to Jn 15:23-25; Jn 5:43).

Although the complete fulfillment of the prophecies of the New Testament is being testified, people refuse to believe. Doesn’t this prove that the lives of faith they lead are false and that the spirit in them is not God’s spirit? Even if they refuse to believe in Hee, shouldn’t they believe in the prophecies and their fulfillment (refer to Jn 14:29).

The Time for Humanity to Receive the Highest Truth

The Time for Humanity to Receive the Highest Truth

If the process of revealing God’s theology were like the life of a student, Adam’s generation would be kindergarten, Noah’s generation would be elementary school, Moses generation would be middle school, Jesus’ first coming would be high school, and Jesus’ second coming (the time of Revelation) would be university.

God has been working from the time of Adam to the time of Jesus’ second coming. It is at the time of Revelation’s fulfillment that God finally bestows the highest truth upon the world (Rv 10, Rv 2:17; Mt 24:45-47). God spoke through Jesus at the time of the first coming. “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear,” (Jn 16:12). Jesus also said that he would no longer use figurative language when the Counselor, the spirit of truth, comes. He promised to tell us plainly about the father (Jn 16:13-15, 25). According to Jn 17:17, the word of God is truth. Thus, the spirit of truth is a holy spirit who brings God’s word.
This spirit of truth comes in the name of Jesus and dwells within a person (Jn 14:26; Rv 10).

John the Baptist came in the name of Elijah (Mt 11:10-14; Lk 1:13-17), and Jesus came in the name of God the father (Jn 5:43). The Counselor, the spirit of truth, comes in the name of Jesus (Jn 14:26), and the person in whom the spirit of the Counselor dwells comes in the name of the Counselor. Since Jesus came in the name of God, seeing Jesus was the same as seeing God (Jn 14:8-10). In the same way, since the Counselor comes in the name of Jesus, seeing the Counselor is the same as seeing Jesus. The spirit of Jesus dwells in that person (refer to Rv 3:12, 21, Rv 22:16; Jn 14:26). In addition, believing the words of that person who comes in the name of the Counselor is the same as believing Jesus.

Since the physical fulfillment of the prophecies is being testified at the time of the second coming, people are able to see face to face instead of seeing only the figurative language (Jn 16:25; 1 Cor 13:10-12). This is why the time of Revelation’s fulfillment is the time when God’s highest truth of the past 6,000 years of God’s work is proclaimed.

Mere flesh is ignorant of God’s words. It will be difficult for them to understand and believe in the physical fulfillment of the prophecies even if they hear the testimony over and over again. Those who see and believe the physical fulfillment, however, will be given the best blessing of the truth and they will receive salvation.

Reality of Today's Christian World

Reality of Today's Christian World

Today is the end of the religious world and the time of Revelation's fulfillment. What has happened in Christian world and what is happening today?

The seven stars which are the messengers who prepare the way and the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstand appeared as promised in Rv 1, 2 and 3. Satan's pastor, the Nicolaitan too appeared there. The messengers of the tabernacle received the teaching of the Nicolaitans, ate the food sacrificed to the idols and committed sexual immorality with the satan's pastors. Jesus showed what happened in the tabernacle to one person (pastor) and sent a letter of repentance to them through him.

The seven messengers did not repent even after receiving the letters. Thus, they were thrown out of God's house in Rv 6 just t as Adam was thrown out. After this, the angel coming up from the east seals people with God's word.

Satan's pastor enters the tabernacle of heaven in Rv 13. They fought the saints there and defeated them. In result, they marked the mark of the beast on their head and hand, and those who received the mark worshipped the beast (false pastors). 144,000 people of the twelve tribes who are sealed learn a new song in Rv 14. The seven bowls of wrath were poured out onto the kingdom and throne of the beast (denominations) and those who received the mark of the beast in Rv 15 and 16. All nations drank the Satan's maddening wine of adultery and collapsed in Rv 17 and 18. All nations were judged because they married the spirit of demon and they led astray in Rv 17 and 18.

Today, the guests to the wedding banquet of the lamb are gathered to Mt. Zion in Rv 19. Children (believers) of the light who belong to the day know this fact although they live in the world of darkness and this is how God's kingdom and priests are created (refer to Rv 1:6, 5:9-10). Those who came to the light of the Bible after awakening will see this fact to believe and confess. Children of darkness who belong to the night will not know this just like the people at the first coming (refer to 1 Thes 5:1-5). The New Testament was given to us before it happens so that when it does happen we will believe (Jn 14:29). How would those who belong to the night know it?

Qualifications of Believers of Shincheonji Church of Jesus

Qualifications of Believers of Shincheonji Church of Jesus

The Bible shows us that people in every generation persecuted and killed those sent by God—the prophets in the Old Testament as well as Jesus and his apostles at the time of the first coming—instead of accepting their testimonies (refer to Mt 23:34-35; Acts 7:51-60). Why did they refuse to receive those sent by God and why did they kill them? God comes to and works through the one person God chooses and sends. The chief priests and elders at the time of the first coming were eagerly awaiting God’s arrival. When God did come, however, they gathered the Sanhedrin and discussed how they would put the pastor sent by God to death (Mt 26 ~ 27; Mk 15).

If these were the actions of the priests and elders of every generation who were charged with leading God’s people, to whom do you think they actually belonged?

The book of Revelation prophesies the events of the Lord’s second coming. Revelation testifies that all nations are deceived and marry the devil. They feast on Satan’s food and do business with Satan’s goods (Rv 18). Since these words of Revelation are God’s and Jesus’ words, what must Christians do? Should we believe them or deny them?

The world today is formless and void; the darkness hovers over the face of the deep. The truth is nowhere to be found. People’s hearts have grown dark (refer to 1 Thes 5:1-6). The truth is denied, and lies reign as king. People who speak the truth are persecuted and ostracized. In fact, people who speak the truth fear for their lives. People who speak the truth are lonely and they cry out to the Lord to save them.

Among Buddhists, Confucianists, and Christians, Christians are the most wicked and speak the most lies. Why? Today, which is the end of the age, all the demons in the world have gathered in Christianity according to the prophecies of the Bible. Out of all the world’s nations, the most demons seem to have entered Korean Christianity. Why? It is because God and his word have left the west and come to the east—to South Korea.

Recently, a particular group of Christians stirred up the Christian world by proclaiming that they would be raptured on a specific date. Their prophecy was proven false, however, after the appointed date passed. Furthermore, the media has been full of rumors lately that the world will come to an end in the year 2012. Why do people refuse to believe God’s prophecies and promises, and turn instead to the lies of such so-called Christian fortune tellers (refer to Rv 21:8, 22:15)? In fact, people’s false gods are driving them to believe the words of Christian fortune tellers.

If you truly want to believe in God and the truth, you must look to the Bible and humble yourself before God. Some people in this world were born to lie, to persecute, and to act as fortune tellers. Although they do so unknowingly, they are acting in fulfillment of the prophecies of the Bible.

When Jesus’ disciples asked Jesus about the signs of the second coming and of the end of the age at the time of the first coming, Jesus said, “Watch out that no one misleads you … For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect,” (Mt 24). Believers facing the end of the age must be mindful of Jesus’ words and believe in Jesus’ promises.

The Place in the Bible Believers must Find and Go

The Place in the Bible Believers must Find and Go

Since the Old Testament has already been fulfilled, no further explanation is necessary. Let us examine the place promised in the New Testament.

Revelation 7 promises a place to which 144,000 people are harvested and sealed. Revelation 14 calls this same place Mt. Zion. The time these things happen is called the time of the harvest because the sealed 144,000 are called firstfruits. Mount Zion is the location of God’s throne, the four living creatures, and the 24 elders. It is also the only place people can learn the new song (i.e. the new word). The 144,000 people gathered at Mt. Zion are the twelve tribes created through the seal of the living God. Mount Zion is synonymous with the sea of glass before God’s throne (Rv 15) where those who have been victorious over the beast, his image, and the number of his name (Rv 13) are gathered. This place is also called the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Since Jesus said this is the place all nations must come and worship, shouldn’t all believers be searching for it?

The Bible uses the term Mt. Zion both literally and figuratively. The Mt. Zion in Rv 14 is figurative. Isaiah 60:14 refers to Jesus as Zion and as a city (or temple). In addition, Zec 2:7 refers to the people seized in Babylon as Zion. Clearly Zion does not refer to a place; it refers to people. Revelation 11 uses the names of historical places figuratively. Revelation 11 figuratively refers to the place the two witnesses are killed as Sodom, Egypt, and the place the Lord was crucified. It is referring to those places because all of them were places God’s chosen people were held captive by gentiles.

In the same way, the way Mt. Zion appears today is also figurative. In the same way the Old Testament prophecies figuratively referred to Jesus as Zion, the one who overcomes the organization of Satan in this generation is called Zion and the holy city of God in the New Testament prophecies. By extension, Zion also refers to the place the one who overcomes can be found—the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Believers can only attain salvation by coming to this place because it is where God resides. Believers must come, believe, and obey the words of the prophecies and their physical fulfillment (refer to Mt 7:21; Jn 14:23; Rv 1:3). Again, salvation can only be found in this one place. Just as Rv 2 and Rv 3 state, God, Jesus, and the promised kingdom of heaven will come to the place where those who overcome in Rv 12 and Rv 15 are gathered. This is the same place the one who overcomes—the pastor with the promised food of eternal life and the authority to judge—can be found.

We in Shincheonji are testifying about the physical fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation, which we have seen and heard. Do you still refuse to believe?

Creation of the Temple According to the Plan

Creation of the Temple According to the Plan

There are two kinds of temples; spiritual and physical. The physical temple is a building made out of physical materials. Spiritual temple is a house made out of the word (1Co 3:9, 16-17). As the physical house has a blueprint for building, the spiritual house has a blueprint which is the Bible.

There are two kinds of spiritual house (temple). The one is a true temple that is built according to the Bible. The other is a house built by the lies which is not according to God's will. God resides in the temple built according to God's will. However, the devil resides in the house built by the lies which is one's own thoughts which is not God's will. Among these two kinds of houses, one must destroy (judge) the devil's house with the true word of the Bible and build the true temple with the truth again (refer to Jer 1:10). Thus, God can reside in the new temple that was built again.

Therefore, there are temples built in people's heart (heart is a field 1Cor 3:9). Two kinds of seeds are sown in that field. The one is God's seed and the other is the devil's seed. The seed are the word (Lk 8:11; Mt 13:24-30). One must root out the seed of the devil which is the lies sown in his heart and sow a seed of God to be born again to become God's son (refer to Mt 13:37-39). The only tool that can root out the devil's seed in people's hearts is God's word of truth. When one listens to the truth, if he understands that the word he received are wrong, the lies in his heart are pulled out. when he acknowledges that what he hears is the truth, the word of truth is being sown.

When God's seed is received in people's heart where men's seeds used to be sown, one iss born again to become God's children (Lk 8:11; Jn 3:5-6; 1Pt 1:23). From this time on, one can call God father and God will acknowledge him as his son. People can be God's children or Satan's children depending on whose seeds they received (refer to Jn 8). God's children go to God's kingdom of heaven. Devil's children receive the judgment in hell with the devil, their father due to their sins.

It is up to you whether you listen or not. It is up to you which one to choose. It would be good to come to learn at Mt.Zion where the bible is mastered with the twelve tribes (Rv 7; Rv 14).

Deception, Sin, and Righteousness

Deception, Sin, and Righteousness

Jesus said that many people will come in his name to deceive others (Mt 24:5). They will not hesitate to persecute and even kill people who disagree with them (Jn 16:2-4). Who acts in this way?

The Old Testament describes many wars between the chosen people and various gentile nations. Since the time of the New Testament, however, the wars have been about religious persecution and ecclesiastical authority. The chosen people have become gentiles because they betrayed God and persecuted God's chosen pastor and God’s true saints. This is prophesied in the New Testament.

Let's compare the Church of Jesus and Calvinist churches. Jesus taught us to love even our enemies (Mt 5:44), but John Calvin forced many people to convert because they did not believe in his doctrine of pre-destination. He persecuted people who refused to convert as heretics, violently tortured, excommunicated, and even killed them. Even today people who belong to the Church of Jesus and people who belong to Calvinist churches have very different doctrines. According to the Bible, all who receive Jesus and all who believe in his name receive the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God (Jn 1:12-13). Calvin only acknowledged those who believe in his doctrine of pre-destination. He considered those who refused to acknowledge his doctrines to be heretics.

Jesus said that those who add anything to or take anything away from the book of Revelation cannot go to the kingdom of heaven. Instead, they will receive all the plagues described in Revelation (Rv 22:18-19). Calvin did not acknowledge Revelation. The root, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits are all part of one tree (refer to Dn 4:20; Jn 15:1-2; Rv 22:1-2). In other words, they belong to the same organization and are cut from the same cloth. The roots of the Church of Jesus are God and Jesus. The root of Calvinism is Calvin. Since the Presbyterian church grew out of Calvinism, the root of the Presbyterian church is Calvin. Anyone who calls Presbyterianism orthodoxy is calling Calvinism orthodoxy. In God’s eyes, however, Calvinism is not orthodox; it is heresy. Anyone can decide to establish a denomination, but their denomination will be heretical if its doctrines do not align with the teachings of Jesus included in the Bible.

<Biblical commentaries>

Many pastors write theses about the prophecies of the Bible, including Revelation, to receive doctoral degrees. They also use their degrees to exert influence and pretend as if they are experts. The Bible says, however, that God reveals his prophecies to one person at an appointed time (refer to Hb 2:2-3; Jn 16:25) and fulfills them. The secrets of God's kingdom cannot be revealed through discussion, and they are not subject to anyone's personal opinion. That is lawlessness before God. One scripture is interpreted in countless ways depending on who is doing the interpreting. Whose commentaries should believers trust? Although there is only one Bible, differences in biblical interpretations have splintered Christianity. How can we tell which denomination has the truth?

Believers should not believe in the commentaries of men over the revelation from the pastor promised in the New Testament (Rv 10). When you receive the teachings of men, you are receiving the weeds—the seeds of the devil that will transform you into the children of the devil who persecute others.

<Reason of persecution>

Why do people persecute others?

Who persecutes others? Who are persecuted? False pastors give false testimonies about the prophecies by interpreting them on their own. Jesus promised another counselor, the spirit of the truth, who would be with the promised pastor. Together they testify about the true identity of the false pastors. These false pastors despise the promised pastor because he reveals their teachings to be lies. They then proceed to persecute him and his followers by labeling them a cult. They attempt to cover their own shortcomings by preventing their own congregation members from going to hear the promised pastor. The last thing they want is for their congregation members to hear his testimony and believe it. The events of the first coming unfolded in a similar way. After all, Jesus promised that the second coming would be no different. People who claim to be servants of God hate the one sent by God. Instead of receiving him with joy, they gather to create a strategy for killing him. This is how things happened in the first coming and the way things happen in the second coming (refer to Mt 27; Rv 11).

They hate and persecute without reason (refer to Jn 15:25) because they are false pastors. True believers must understand this and discern the true pastor from these false pastors. People who see and hear these sorts of events taking place, yet fail to understand and discern the truth—people who blindly accept the testimonies of these unrighteous pastors—simply prove that they have been born of unrighteous seed.

<Sin and righteousness>

What is sin? What is righteousness? Sin is not believing in Jesus. Righteousness is believing in the words of promise (refer to Jn 16:8-11)

Jesus said no one righteous, not even one (Rom 3:10). He also asked whether he would find faith on the earth when he returns (Lk 18:8). Obviously, he did not consider anyone to be righteous. Jesus also said, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners,” (Mt 9:12-13). The righteous are people who have already been saved. The righteous do not need salvation. Granting salvation to the righteous does not make sense and is not according to the Bible or to God's will. Anyone who says such a thing is ignorant of the Bible and speaks the words of his own heart. He is arrogant and a true heretic. Jesus prohibited persecution, measuring, criticizing, and cursing, yet people are doing these very things (refer to Mt 7:1-5; Jn 8:44). They act this way because it is according to their doctrines; it is orthodox to them. We have to think deeply about who it is to whom they belong. Their actions are truly heretical and unlawful according to the Bible.

<Conversion of religion>

The word conversion should be used when a person decides to change his or her religion.

There is a group of pastors in Korea calling themselves “conversion pastors.” They claim to be Christians, but the targets for their conversion education programs are also Christians. How can Christians change their religion to Christianity? This is not conversion. If they insist on calling it conversion, are they calling themselves non-Christians? They are Christians, but their actions prove they are truly Calvinist Christians. The constitution of the Republic of Korea guarantees the freedom of religion. Since these conversion pastors are forcing people to accept their beliefs, they are breaking the law.

The word conversion is frequently used by ignorant heretics, who are controlled by the devil. The Bible says that Israel's watchmen (i.e. pastors) are blind and that they all lack knowledge (Is 56:9-12). Pastors who betray the word are figuratively called dogs and pigs (2 Pt 2:20-22). Jesus told us not to give dogs what is sacred and not to throw our pearls to pigs (Mt 7:6). People who are deceived into obeying these ignorant, blind pastors become servants of dogs. The Bible says that the dogs (and by extension their servants) will not be allowed to enter the holy city of the kingdom of heaven. It says that the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters, and all liars (e.g. those who claim that salvation is for the righteous) are all outside of the holy city (Rv 21:8, Rv 22:15). Although now they can say anything they want, they will be speechless at the time of judgment and will be cast into the lake of fire in the last days.

Today is like the time of Noah (Mt 24:37-39). Thus, I pray for those who refuse to believe with sincere hearts.

The appointed tasks of pastors at the end of the age

The appointed tasks of pastors at the end of the age

The end of the age refers to the end of Christianity. It is also the time of the Lord’s second coming. The signs of the end of the age and of the second coming include the betrayal of God’s chosen people, the destruction of the chosen people by gentiles, and salvation (2 Thes 2:1-3). These signs take place in this order. This is when the roles played by churches and their pastors, the authority of the elders, and the prophecies come to an end. The world of the first (or former) heaven comes to an end, and the world of the second heaven begins (refer to Is 65:17-18; Mt 24:29-31). This newly created world (i.e. the world of the second heaven) is the world of the twelve tribes. The twelve tribes are made up of people born of God’s seed and sealed by the word (Rv 21:1-3; Jas 1:18; Rv 7:1-4). In other words, they are people who have mastered the Bible. The churches of the previous world (the world of the first heaven) come to an end when the time of harvest begins (refer to Mt 13:38-40), as do the appointed tasks of their pastors. Since these pastors were appointed to preach the prophecies, they also come to an end when the era of the physical fulfillment has come. At the time of the fulfillment, the physical fulfillment of the prophecies appears and is proclaimed—the words of the prophecies are made flesh.

As churches and their pastors disappear, the appointed tasks of the elders, who have excelled in amassing ecclesiastical authority, also come to an end. Again, the end of the age is the time when the churches, pastors, elders, and prophecies all come to an end. Biblically speaking, as this new era begins, pastors of the previous generation who continue to serve as pastors are practicing lawlessness. Their actions are not fit for the new era.

Pastors who understand the reality of the present (refer to Mt 16:3; Lk 12:56) will joyfully entrust their sheep to the pastors of the new generation. In doing so, they will save themselves and their sheep. Today, people are born again of God’s seed to resemble God’s image and likeness (Lk 8:11; Jn 3:5; Jas 1:18; 1 Pt 1:23). God’s kingdom (heaven) is being created on earth today as his people are fruitful, increase in number, and are sealed with the word. The kingdom and priests of the new heaven have mastered the path (i.e. the word) through Jesus’ blood (Rv 5:9-10). A great multitude dressed in white are chosen as the new people of heaven. Their sins are washed away by the blood of Christ Jesus (Rv 7:9-14). Even people without the word and who have not yet mastered the path (i.e. the word) can become priests of the new heaven as long as they are sealed by Jesus’ blood. The great multitude dressed in white also become the people of heaven as their sins are washed away.

The first heaven came to an end because neither its pastors nor its congregation members had the word. In fact, since they did not have the word, these pastors have ruled their people using only ecclesiastical authority. A pastor is not acknowledged by God just by being ordained to rule over a church. Only people who do the will of the father in heaven and who are born again of the seed of the word—those who master the word—are acknowledged by God as true pastors. Furthermore, people do not become the people of heaven just by claiming to believe and be the children of God. Only those who do the will of the father in heaven—those who are born again of the seed of the word—can become the children of heaven and attain salvation.

To acquire salvation at the end of the age, believers must believe and follow the words of the harvesters rather than the words of their own pastors (refer to Mt 13). In the age of the new heaven, there is no regard to positions of authority; pastors, elders, and congregation members alike must be born again to be acknowledged by God. The new pastors and people of heaven are those who are sealed and born again of God’s seed (Rv 7).

Regarding Church Names, People’s Names, and Place Names

Regarding Church Names, People’s Names, and Place Names

The names of churches, people, and places in the New Testament prophecies are either figurative or literal. The names of people and places in the prophecies often make figurative reference to the Old Testament. Church names come either from God or from men. There are two kinds of temples: spiritual and physical. A spiritual temple is the temple of a person’s heart (Eph 2:20-22; 1 Cor 3:16), and a physical temple is a physical building where people, who are themselves spiritual temples, gather to worship. At the time of the fulfillment, God chooses a pastor after his own heart and uses him to build a temple according to the pattern in heaven (refer to Ex 25:1-9; Rv 4). In contrast, pastors appointed by men use their own words to build spiritual temples in the hearts of their congregation members and physical temples in the world where their congregation members gather to worship.

In which of these two kinds of temples is God going to reside?

Some of the pastors and temples mentioned in the 66 books of the Bible from the time of Adam to the time of the second coming were promised by God and some were created by men. God's word comes from God’s promised temple (refer to Rv 14:1-3) because God dwells there (refer to Rv 15, Rv 21:1-3). Who resides in the temples created by men? If there is a spirit in these temples, it is certainly not God. The temple of Jerusalem, came to an end after Abraham’s Physical Israel betrayed God and killed Jesus (refer to Mt 24:1-2). Who built the temples (churches) that have been constructed since then? What spirits reside in them?

The New Testament prophesies that New Jerusalem will be established on earth as it is in heaven (Rv 21). This temple is not the temple of Jerusalem from the time of Physical Israel. Since the time of Jesus 2,000 years ago, most of the churches that have been established have been built according to the will of men. Their pastors, too, have been appointed by people. The New Testament promises one pastor and one temple. There is only one chosen pastor and only one chosen temple where all nations must come to worship (refer to Rv 10, Rv 15:2-5). Since Jesus was the true light (Jn 1:9), darkness came to the earth when Jesus left (Jn 9:4-5). The world is again filled with light when the light of life, which is the word (refer to Rv 21:23-26; Jn 1:1-5; 1 Jn 1:1-7), returns.

Since the scriptures say that those who are born of the flesh persecute those born of the Spirit (Gal 4:29, KJV), we know that churches built according to the will of men will persecute the temple built according to the promise of God. Since Shincheonji means “new heaven and new earth,” Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been established according to the Bible (Rv 21). The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is also promised in the Bible (Rv 15:5). The pastor who received the revelation from heaven in Rv 10 is the one who overcomes and the promised pastor God has chosen. Those who persecute the promised temple and the promised pastor do not belong to God (1 Jn 4:4-6). Only those who affirm the truth of the word and its fulfillment correctly can follow the word and attain salvation.

We who have overcame, the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus—Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony—pray that all the world’s believers will understand the only true God, his promised pastor, and promised temple.

Each Denomination’s Insistences & Beliefs

Each Denomination’s Insistences & Beliefs

The content of the Bible can be divided into history, moral teachings, prophecies, and fulfillment. Prophecies are fulfilled in the order of betrayal, destruction, and salvation (refer to 2 Thes 2:1-3). We hope for the prophecies to be fulfilled as promised, and we wait and pray for this to happen.

The claims that the majority of the pastors from each denomination make are not a result of receiving the revelation of the Holy Spirit. The evidence of this is that each denomination’s commentary books interpret the same Bible differently. The reason that their interpretations are different is that the spirits working in them are all different. If their will is in line with will of the Holy Spirit, neither the name of each denomination nor their interpretations of the Bible would be different. This is because there is only one Spirit. Also, congregation members are bound to believe the spirit that controls their pastor. The opinions and beliefs of the congregation members depend on which denomination their pastor is from. They are each born of their pastor’s spirit; therefore, they all believe and insist upon the doctrines that their pastor preaches.

The will of the Holy Spirit is to fulfill the New Testament. First, we must know the true meaning of the New Testament so that we can see, believe, and understand when it fulfills (refer to Jn 14:29). If the true meaning of the prophecies is not understood, then each denomination will have different claims of their own. The words of their claims become a seed, and this seed becomes the seed of weeds.

The Holy Spirit makes known the true meaning of the prophecies at the time they are fulfilled, and allows us testify the truth by seeing the fulfilled reality. It is made known to the chosen promised pastor first (refer to Rv 10). When the prophecies are fulfilled, the promised pastor, whom the Holy Spirit is with, sees, hears, and testifies the fulfillment according to the command of the Holy Spirit (Rv 1:2, 22:16). There cannot be any fault in this testimony because he testifies what has fulfilled exactly according to the prophecies. This is also because there is physical evidence.

People do not understand the meaning of the Bible and so believe only in their pastor and their words, yet they say they believe in God and Jesus – so how can their faith not be a lie? This is the reality of the lives of faith in each denomination at the end of the age.

Everyone must repent and find the Bible’s promised pastor, the one who overcomes, and his denomination, the twelve tribes of the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and learn the new song (refer to Rv 2 ~ 3, Rv 7, 12:5-11, 14:1-5, 15:2-5). Rather than listening to the words of those who are unenlightened, believers must learn the word of God and become ones who receive salvation as promised in the Bible.

The End of the Age and a Religious Life of Faith

The End of the Age and a Religious Life of Faith

The end of the age mentioned in the Bible does not refer to the end of the universe, the end of the earth, or even the end of humanity. It does, however, refer to the end of a generation of believers. There are even Buddhist and Confucian prophecies that point to the place of salvation being the cross of Christ. The Bible, too, points to the cross as both the place of salvation and the place where the work of overcoming is accomplished. Thus, all religious people—even Buddhists and Confucianists—must come to the cross of Christ, just as their teachers foretold. Amongst all Christian churches there is one place where the one who overcomes can be found. It is in finding this place that people can find, understand, and walk the truth path to salvation (refer to Rv 12:5, 10-11).

Most people—Buddhists, Confucianists, Christians, etc.—have closed their hearts to God's prophecies; they never even think about them. People are so immersed in their own thoughts that the scriptures have lost all meaning to them. Unfortunately, this is reality. No wonder the people of the world cannot understand our current situation.

God loves the people of the world so much that he gave up his one and only son to save us (Jn 3:16). Jesus, the son, laid down his life for sinners according to the will of the Father (Mt 26:28; Rom 6:6-11). After receiving this great love, we, too, must share the love of the Father and the love of Christ with others (Lk 10:27; Jn 13:34). If the teachings of Confucius or Siddhartha were capable of leading people to salvation, there would have been no reason for God to allow Jesus—the son who was without sin—to be crucified. Apparently, Confucius and Siddhartha did understand that salvation would come through God and the path of Jesus' cross because they proclaimed it future generations through their own scriptures. This means neither Confucius nor Siddhartha could atone for the sins of humanity or grant anyone salvation.

The end of the age refers to the end of a particular religious world. It means that religious people will no longer carry out their spiritual lives in the same way. It means that the lives of faith we carry out now will come to an end when the prophecies are completely fulfilled (Rv 21:6, Rv 22:13).

The origin of Jesus is different from the origin of Confucius and Siddhartha. Confucius and Siddhartha were both born with original and hereditary sins; they were sinners. Jesus, however, was a righteous person without sin (1 Pt 3:18; 1 Jn 3:5) because he was born of the seed of God (Mt 1:18-23). Both Confucius and Siddhartha were princes of noble birth, but Jesus was a prince of heaven. This is why the origin of Jesus was different; he was a person who was united with God (Jn 10:30).

It is easy for believers to say, "We will go to heaven and attain salvation." Just mentioning heaven and salvation, however, does not guarantee that we will attain them. How can a person born of the seed of man become a son of God? Can a mere human being call God "Father" and go to heaven without being born again? We must be redeemed from our sins through Jesus' blood (Mt 26:28; Rom 6:6-11) and be born again of God's seed just as Jesus was (refer to Jn 3:5-6; Jas 1:18; 1 Pt 1:23). It is only in doing so that we can call God "Father" and be qualified to go to heaven, the Father’s kingdom.

About 2,000 years ago, of all the people in the world, it was the Israelites, the descendants of Abraham, who were God's only chosen people. They were the only people who believed in and served God. They also believed that God would return to them according to the Old Testament prophecies. They prayed to God by touching their foreheads to the ground three times a day. In fulfillment of their hope, God did finally come to the Israelites. When he came, did they believe in him by believing in his son Jesus? The elders and priests gathered the Sanhedrin and conspired to kill Jesus, in whom God was dwelling (Mt 26 ~ 27). Ultimately, they succeeded in crucifying Jesus. How is it that God’s one and only chosen people, who were longing to see their savior, killed Jesus (God) instead of accepting him? We must think about this before boasting about our own righteousness as believers. God, who had united with Jesus, said, "You people [the Israelites] are from your father the devil," (Jn 8:44).

The god the Israelites were serving and bowing down to three times a day was actually the devil. The Bible distinguishes the one true God from false gods (refer to Jn 15:1, Jn 17:3). The Physical Israelites served a false god as the true God. That false god, in fact, was the devil pretending to be the true God. The Physical Israelites were born of the physical bloodline of Abraham, but their spirits were born of the seed of the devil. This is why Jesus told them their father was the devil—they had become children of the devil. They were in error and bowed down to the devil thinking he was God

The Physical Israelites worshiped gentile gods during the reign of King Solomon, and as a result they were cursed. The eleven northern tribes eventually came to be known as gentile Samaria. Only one tribe—Judah—remained in Jerusalem (1 Kgs 11 ~ 12). That one last tribe, however, was also devoured by gentiles according to the prophecies of Is 1. All of Physical Israel worshiped gentile gods sometimes even thinking they were worshiping the true God. Since the whole world had been conquered by Satan and its people were living in darkness (Mt 4), John the Baptist—who was supposed to prepare the way—declared, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near … You offspring of vipers (the devil)!" (Mt 3:1-7). Even Jesus himself proclaimed, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near!" (Mt 4:17).

In Jn 4:20-24, Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem … But a time is coming—and now is here—when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers (refer to Jn 4:20-24)." Why did Jesus tell the woman not to worship on either the mountain in Samaria or in Jerusalem? At that time, both Samaria and Jerusalem had become possessions of Satan.

At the time of the second coming—the time of Revelation’s fulfillment and of the end of the religious world—just like at the time of the first coming, all nations have become possessions of of Satan. Revelation 17 and 18 explain how the chosen people (i.e. Spiritual Israel) have been intoxicated with Satan's wine—the wine of adulteries. They have committed adultery with Satan and have collapsed because of his maddening wine of adulteries. The people of all nations have bought and sold the doctrines of Satan. Since all nations have married the devil, isn’t it obvious that the religious world has come to an end?

Physical Israel faced its end at the time of the first coming. Similarly, Spiritual Israel comes to an end at the time of the second coming. In other words, the world of Jesus' first heaven is brought to an end. Then, the world of the new heaven and new earth (Shincheonji) begins. The book of Revelation explains how the first heaven comes to an end. It explains how it is only after the world of the first heaven disappears that the world of the new heaven can exist. In short, God gave us the Bible so we can understand and believe that a promised pastor comes and creates the world of the new heaven after the previous generation is destroyed because of its sins.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus has mastered the Bible by receiving the revelation of heaven. Shincheonji is testifying about the prophecies of the Bible and their physical fulfillment. Shincheonji is the place the highest biblical knowledge and the true faith can be found. People can only attain salvation in Shincheonji because God, Jesus, the holy spirit, and the word can only be found in Shincheonji. Shincheonji is the only place God's kingdom is being created. People who truly believe in the one and only true God and in his words (the Bible) will follow the path of the promises in the word.

The Reality of Today’s Christianity

The Reality of Today’s Christianity

God loved the world so much that he gave up his one and only Son (Jn 3:16) and His son Jesus gave his life for the world (sinners) (Mt 20:28; Mk 10:45). Jesus said that just as the Father loves the Son and the Son also loves the world, you should too love one another. This is the new command of the New Testament (refer to Jn 13:34; 1Jn 4:7-11).

It is not God who is putting an end to the Christian world, but Christian leaders have brought this upon themselves. In the Christian world there are ministers (priests, pastors, reverends) who buy their doctorate degrees in theology and their ordainment. This is what has ruined Christianity.

The objective of these leaders who buy their doctorate degrees in theology or pay to become pastors, ruling over believers with ecclesiastical authority is power and money.

Theology scholars and ministers holding ecclesiastical authority live in luxury houses, drive expensive cars and live extravagant lives. How could this be in accordance with teachings and love of God and Jesus?

Congregation members work hard to serve their churches and even in financially difficult times they give tithe and thanks offerings. So many pastors take for granted the difficulties faced by congregation members and their willingness to sacrifice themselves to serve the church. Although they pretend to be good role models, the reality is they have not cleaned the church even once.

Meanwhile, there is no spiritual food for God’s people to eat and so people are wasting away (refer to Am 8:11-13; Mt 24:7). Because the pastors did not receive a proper education in theology, they do not have the word, which is the spiritual food. Since pastors do not have the word, which is the source of life for faith, they only speak of earthly things. They also misinterpret the Bible and say, “It is this”, “it is that” and feed congregation members with false teachings. This is the same as feeding poison to God’s people. This is the reality of the Christian world today and is the end-time of Christianity.

God shed the light of love to the world (refer to Jn 1:1-5; 1Jn 1:5-7). However, pastors who are steeped in sin abuse the authority they are entrusted with and live in luxury while the believers go hungry spiritually and physically. God, who sees this, brings this generation to an end (refer to Mt 24:3-14, 29-30; Rv 6:12-14) and says he will build a true world of faith through a pastor whom God acknowledges as the true pastor (refer to Mt 24:45-46; Rv 12:5, Rv 7, Rv 10, Rv 21:7, Rv 22:16-17).

If pastors truly believe in God and Jesus and hope to receive salvation by receiving atonement of sins through Jesus’ blood (Mt 26:28; Rom 6:6-11), pastors first need to give all their possessions to the church before their congregation members do so.  After this, they must receive the word of heaven, that is, spiritual food, and teach it to their congregation members and govern over the people. There should not be any incidents where people are able to buy positions of authority in the church.   Furthermore, false doctorate degrees of theology purchased with money and certificates of ordainment should be returned and pastors should repent and seek for salvation.

In the Christian world, whoever wishes to become a pastor should be tested on the Bible and only those who pass should be given a certificate to become a pastor with the authority to stand at on stage to govern the congregation members. If one does not have knowledge of the Bible, they should step down from their position as a pastor. If pastors do not have the qualifications to be pastors, the Christian world will become a world of famine and darkness where there is no word (refer to Am 8:11; 1Thes 5:1-6). Therefore God’s people will not be able to receive salvation and pastors will be seen as traitors in front of God.

God and God’s people, all wish for true faith, true pastors and the truth. But isn’t the Christian world today filled with lies and people seeking self righteous authority? How can God give salvation to those who believe their pastor’s words over God’s words?

Let’s repent. Now is the time of Jesus’ Second Coming.  We must realise that the time of the Second Coming is a time of confusion just like the time of Noah and Lot (refer to Mt 24:37-39; Rv 11:8).

Wealth and authority cannot save a person (refer to Mt 16:26). Only those who understand the promised words and abide by them will be able to attain salvation (Jn 14:23; Rv 1:3).

The Previous World and the World that is Newly Created in Every Generation

The Previous World and the World that is Newly Created in Every Generation

Although God created Adam and his generation, as soon as Adam’s world sinned, God judged them with the flood. God found Noah in the midst of Adam’s corrupt generation and tried to realize his will through Noah’s generation (Gn 6:9-17). When Ham and Canaan, who were Noah’s descendants, sinned (Gn 9:18-27), God made a promise with Abraham(Gn 15) and began to fulfill that promise through Moses four generations later (Ex 3, 12). God judged Canaan and his descendants and put Moses in charge over the nation of Israel. God gave Moses the law (Ex 20) so Moses could lead them effectively.

Israel was divided into northern and southern kingdoms (centered around their respective capitals of Samaria and Jerusalem) because they served gentile gods during the reign of King Solomon. Eleven tribes belonged to the northern kingdom and the tribe of Judah to the southern kingdom. In the time of Isaiah, the city of Jerusalem in the southern kingdom of Judah joined its neighbors to the north as a possession of the gentiles (1 Kgs 11 ~ 12; Is 1).

It was during this time of destruction that the Old Testament prophets foretold the virgin birth of Jesus through the work of the holy spirit (Is 7:14; Mt 1:18-23). From the time of Jesus’ birth, the laws, the prophets, and the prophecies of the Old Testament came to an end (Mt 11:13; Lk 16:16); the era of life by faith began (Gal 3:23-29). The nation of Physical Israel came to an end, and Jesus founded Spiritual Israel as a nation built on the foundation of faith (refer to Jn 1:12-13). Adam began in the Garden of Eden, Noah on Mt. Ararat, Moses on Mt. Sinai, Joshua in Shechem, and Jesus in Galilee. Today, the messengers of the seven stars began their work in South Korea on Cheonggae mountain, and the one who overcomes began his work on a small prayer mountain in nearby Indeogwon.

The world of Jesus’ second coming.

In his first coming, Jesus came for sinners (Mt 9:11-13), but his second coming is not concerned with sin; Jesus comes to those who are waiting for him (Heb 9:28). Today, just like what happened at the time of the first coming (Mt 4), the world of religion has become Satan’s world (Rv 17 ~ 18). This is the time when tongues, prophecies, and partial testimonies come to an end (1 Cor 13:8-10). Since the things that were promised and the things for which we hoped have appeared, it is time to come together and see the truth face-to-face (1 Cor 13:12). The world of the first heaven (Spiritual Israel), which lasted for over 2,000 years, has come to an end in fulfillment of the prophecies of the New Testament (refer to Rv 6, 13). The time has come for the world of the second heaven to be revealed (refer to Rv 7, 14). The churches of the world belong to the generation of the first heaven, but Shincheonji Church of Jesus belongs to the new heaven promised in the New Testament (Rv 21:1). Today, the time of harvest has come; the pastors and churches of the world have met their end (Mt 13:30, 13:39-40). Believers need no longer run here and there looking for truth and salvation. The time has come for people to find the true path of the Bible (refer to Mt 7:7-8, 7:13-14) and meet the angels of heaven angels (refer to Heb 13:2).

We are ringing out the old and ringing out the new. All creation has been eagerly anticipating the era of the new heaven and new earth. When this work is accomplished, people will no longer grow older. Believers must remember the work of every generation, they must find the place that is being persecuted because of its righteousness (refer to Mt 5:10-12; Jn 15:18-19). If you are persecuted with us because of righteous, the hand of salvation will also come upon you.

The Promised Pastor and the Destination of True Believers

The Promised Pastor and the Destination of True Believers

Who is the pastor promised in the New Testament? Where is the destination believers must reach?

First, let us learn about the pastor promised in the New Testament. The pastor promised in the New Testament is the one who fights and overcomes Satan’s false pastors who rule the spiritual nation of Babylon (Rv 2, 3, 12). He is also the one who receives and testifies the word of revelation (Rv 10).

The promised pastor witnesses the fulfillment of the prophecies and testifies about what he sees and hears according to the command of heaven (Rv 1:2, Rv 22:16). All believers need this pastor.

Salvation is possible only after Satan’s pastors are defeated (Rv 12:7-11) and the one who overcomes—the promised pastor—creates the twelve tribes of God’s kingdom (Rv 7, 14). The one who overcomes receives the hidden manna that endures to eternal life, the white stone of judgment, and the iron scepter with which he will rule all nations. He receives Jesus’ new name and the name of the holy city New Jerusalem that comes down from heaven. He also sits down with Jesus on his throne and reigns. People who go to the one who overcomes to receive salvation (Rv 2 ~ 3) are going to God, Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven. This is a promise recorded in the New Testament. The one who overcomes is truly the promised pastor.

Where, then, is the destination promised in the New Testament to which all believers must go? All nations must go to the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, where those who are victorious over the group of dragon—the beast with the seven heads and ten horns—have gathered (Rv 15:2-5). At the end of the Christian world, believers must leave their pastors and churches and be harvested to the place appointed for salvation (Mt 13:30; Rv 14:1-5).

How can the congregation members of pastors who do not know the promised words of the Bible understand the Bible themselves? How can they know the places and pastor promised in the Bible? The Bible says that people who do not know and understand are destroyed (refer to Hos 4:6; 2 Pt 3:16; Jude 1:10). Believers in the end times must first understand the meaning of the Bible (refer to Hos 6:6; Eph 3:18-19). People should decide whether or not to believe only after learning the true meaning of the Bible. God’s will and promises (prophecies) recorded in the Bible will be surely be fulfilled. When people close their hearts and minds—when they refuse to study— the Bible becomes useless to them.

Today, the members of Shincheonji Church of Jesus (SCJ) have understood the word. We are no longer spiritually hungry, but the members of the world’s churches do not understand and are spiritually starved (refer to Am 8:11; Mt 24:7). No matter who you are, no one can attain salvation without being born again through the revealed word of SCJ. Believers who think they have it all without understanding the word will face their doom just like the people living in the times of Noah and Lot (Mt 24:37-39; Lk 17:26-30).

Those who cross over from death to life will attain salvation (Mt 24:15-16; Rv 17:14, Rv 18:4).

Those who ignore these words saying, “I am orthodox. I am saved and have received the Holy Spirit,” will not be saved. We at Shincheonji are praying their salvation.

Jesus’ new Command (Love: Jn 13:34)

Jesus’ new Command (Love: Jn 13:34)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son to save it; Jesus the son gave up his life out of love for his friends (Mt 20:23; Jn 3:16, Jn 10:11, Jn 15:13-14). Apostle Paul said that of faith, hope, and love, love is the greatest (1 Cor 13:13). According to the Bible, a man who says he loves God but hates one of the brothers in faith is a liar (1 Jn 4:20). Jesus said that liars belong to the devil (Jn 8:44).

God is love, light, life, and the word (Jn 1:1-4), and because he was born as God’s son, Jesus is also love, light, life, and the word (refer to Jn 1:9, Jn 5:26, Jn 13:34; 1 Jn 1:1-2). If we, too, are born of God’s seed (refer to Lk 8:11; Jas 1:18; 1 Pt 1:23), we become love, light, life, and the word. A lack of love, light, life, and the word is evidence that a person has not been born of God’s seed.

Korean Christianity is full of lies. Its pastors and people falsely claim that their traditions are the only orthodoxy. They claim to have received salvation and the holy spirit, but they have not. God and Jesus have given us a new command to love and forgive others, but these things are not present in Korean Christianity. Instead, they are busy posting hateful comments that curse, lie, and persecute others on the Internet. Can anyone find love, forgiveness, and God’s word anywhere among them? The state of Korean Christianity is like the state of the city of Sodom and like the state of people in the time of Noah. Can’t ecclesiastical authority be purchased with money? Aren’t lies reigning as king? The minds and hearts of the people of Christianity have been made formless and dark by the flood of commentaries and the teachings of men. The world of Christianity has been transformed into the deepest night where truth and the light of God’s word do not exist. They love their own members and pay no attention to their sins, but they treat people who do not belong to them as sinners no matter how righteous they might be.

Today is the time of the second coming, and heaven has come near. The time has come to repent by throwing away the lies and sins. It is time for the pastors and people of Christianity to pray privately in true repentance. It is time for everyone to be born again by the word and by love. People must stop the lies, the persecution, and the cursing. No one should use their ecclesiastical authority to label others as heretics.

Should enemies creating more enemies? If we bite and fight each other, we will all be destroyed (Gal 5:15). Today, not only Korean Christianity, but all Christians in the world must stand according to the commands of Jesus who loves us. Let us love, forgive, and bless one another. Let us enter the path of the word, unite, and live in harmony together forever.

The Proof for Believing in God

The Proof for Believing in God

God is the one and only God (Jn 17:3). He is the creator of heaven and earth and the source of all blessings (Gn 1:1; Rom 1:20). What is the evidence for believing in God?

God is the founder of religion and the author of the scriptures (i.e. the Bible). Christians must carry out their lives of faith based on the scriptures. Living people have neither been to heaven, nor have they seen God. We believe in both heaven and God, however, because of the scriptures and because of the spiritual path that has been passed down to us.

What acts as evidence to prove a person believes in God? What do we need for God to acknowledge our faith?

Since we cannot see him, believing in God’s word is the same as believing in God (refer to Rom 10:17; Heb 11:1). Faith in God’s word, therefore, provides evidence that a person believes in God. John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was fully God.” Wherever the word is, there is God; wherever God is, there is the word. Thus, believing in God’s word is the same as believing in God.

Since the word is life and light, people with the word become light and possess life (Jn 1:1-4, Jn 8:12). The word is also symbolized by the seed of God. Hence, a person born of God’s seed is God’s son (refer to Mt 13:37-38; Jas 1:18; 1 Jn 3:9) and can be created in God’s image and likeness. People without the word, however, do not have God, light, or life. Without being born of God’s seed, they cannot be created into God’s image or likeness.

Jesus was the son of God and he was the true light and life. He was also the word created in God’s image and likeness (refer to 1 Jn 1:1-3) because he was born of God’s seed. If we, like Jesus, also receive and are born of God’s seed, we will become like Jesus. This is, in fact, God’s will.

The type of faith God acknowledges is faith in the words God promised. When the fulfillment appears according to the words of promise, the faith of people who believe in that fulfillment proves that they really believe in God.

Just because a person claims to believe in God with his lips, attends church, makes monetary offerings, does volunteer service, and serves his pastor does not mean that he is acknowledged by God as a true believer. People who are zealous without knowing God’s will or the true meaning of righteousness are simply trying to lift themselves up above others (refer to Rom 10:2-3). More than offering money or giving worship, God wants us to truly know him (refer to Hos 6:6). We prove we believe in God by knowing God and by believing in and obeying his promises (Rv 1:2-3).

If we were to give a group of Christians 100 or even 1,000 questions from the New Testament, how many people could answer just one question properly? It wouldn’t surprise me if none of them could answer those questions properly. If this is the case, is it right for these people to claim that they are orthodox or that they have already received salvation and the holy spirit? The Bible says, “Now this is eternal life—that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent,” (Jn 17:3). The Bible also says, “For the spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God,” (1 Cor 2:10).

We must be honest before others and even more honest before God. Our yes should be yes and our no should be no. We should claim to know only what we really know and admit that we do not know what we do not know. It is only when we earnestly pray to God—when seek to know him and his will—that God will reveal himself to us.

Today is the same as the times of Noah and of Jesus’ first coming (Mt 24:37-39; Rv 11:8). The kingdom of heaven is indeed near. Everyone must repent. The words of the promises in the New Testament are being fulfilled. Believing in the words of the promises is believing in Jesus. No one can attain salvation unless they know the words of the promises and their physical fulfillment.

All the wealth, fame, and power in the world are nothing but empty dreams. They are not eternal life. We will become believers whom the Lord acknowledges when we seek eternal life and when we understand and obey the Lord’s will.
