Shincheonji - 46 - Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony

The correct understanding of the BIBLE and of SHINCHEONJI (The New Heaven and New Earth)
This site and all of its content has been written according to the Bible. Our purpose is to instruct all Christians in a deeper knowledge of God’s word and to lead them to a deeper faith.

Why do we call our church “Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony?”

“Shincheonji” is a Korean word that means new heaven and new earth. It is a reference to the new heaven and earth in Rev 21. We are the “Church of Jesus” because Jesus is the Lord of our church. We use the name “Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony” because we are the place where the testimony about the fulfillment of the New Testament is being proclaimed. The fact that we are the “Temple” is also important because a temple is a holy place where God dwells (Rv 15:2-5).

While most churches in the world have concocted their names using their imaginations, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony and its congregation members are prophesied in the New Testament (Rv 1:6, Rv 5:9-10, Rv 7:14). We are the new kingdom of God and the new chosen people of God. It was approximately 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham (Physical Israel) and another 2,000 years from Abraham to Jesus' first coming. Today, it has been another 2,000 years since Jesus' first coming. There have been many transitions over the course of biblical history. The world of Noah began when Adam's world was put to an end. The period of the law (Physical Israel) began when the world of Canaan – the descendants of Noah – was put to an end. The period of the church (Spiritual Israel), during which the seed of the gospel of heaven was sown, began when the period of the law was put to an end. Today, the period of the church has come to an end and the time of harvest has begun. Indeed, the period of the 1,000 years of Shincheonji Church of Jesus (New Spiritual Israel) has begun.

Although they listened to the revealed word from Jesus (Is 29:9-14; Hb 2:2-3; Ez 1-3; Mat 15:24), because the Physical Israelites were accustomed to the teachings of men, they could not understand or accept Jesus’ words. Instead they persecuted him and his followers as heretics. Today, over the last 2,000 years the people of Spiritual Israel have been proclaiming the good news about Jesus, who fulfilled the Old Testament. They have been spreading the seed of the gospel of heaven, which Jesus spoke in figurative language. Although Spiritual Israel has worked so hard for so long to spread this gospel, they do not understand the revealed words of God's scroll being preached to them (Rv 5, 6, 8, 10) – the scroll that was once sealed with the seven seals (Rv 5). They, too, label those who deliver the revealed word as "heretics." This tragedy has occurred because the testimony of the revealed word is at a different level than the teachings of men. Just as Paul cast aside the knowledge of the world and opted instead for the revealed word (Phil 3:7-9), believers of today too must abandon the knowledge and teachings of men for the sake of the revealed word. There will be salvation only for those who truly understand the revealed word and believe it.

The Christian world today has been plunged into a spiritual night without the sun, moon, and stars (Mat 24:29-44; Rv 6:12-13). Today believers live in comfort and security without discerning the nature of the times. Those who live in comfort claiming to be saved, claiming to be orthodox, and claiming to have already received the holy spirit are not telling the truth. The Bible tells us that the time of Revelation is a time for the passing of one generation and the approach and creation of another (Rv 21). At the time of Revelation's fulfillment, those who are purchased by the blood of Jesus (Rv 5:9-10) and whose names are recorded among the 12 tribes (Rv 7) receive salvation as the chosen people of God’s new kingdom. Only those who understand the revealed word will “board the ark” of the 12 tribes and receive salvation.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is made up of 12 tribes. It is God's creation that has been established on earth according to God's will, which has been carried out in heaven (Mat 6; Rv 21:1-6). Anyone who claims that Shincheonji has not been created according to the Bible or that Shincheonji is not preaching the word accordingly must use the scriptures to prove his or her point. Even the persecution that we receive because of the righteousness that we pursue is occurring according to the scriptures. The one who speaks on behalf of Shincheonji is not God or Jesus. He is merely a chosen messenger of Jesus at the end of the age (Rv 1:2, Rv 22:16). He is the one who received the opened scroll (Rv 10) and the one who overcame the enemies of God with the word of testimony (Rv 12:11). He is God's worker who has received the revealed words of the scroll that was sealed – the words no one in the world was able to understand until now (Is 29:9-14; Rv 5:1-3). He has mastered the scriptures and has been teaching people the revealed word. Something that doctors of theology, pastors, and the authority figures of each denomination could not see has been made known to a man of lowly birth. All believers should realize that this work has been accomplished by the power of God and should return to him the glory he deserves. They should give glory to God instead of envying and persecuting the messenger just because he has accomplished something that they could not achieve, which is full mastery of the Bible. This person (i.e. the pastor like Apostle John) has been granted the knowledge of the revealed word of heaven, which far surpasses the knowledge of the world’s pastors and is, indeed, beyond their imaginations. Thousands of intellectuals who have studied the scriptures have testified about this fact after seeing and hearing with their own eyes and ears.

Since God conceals the true meaning of his word until the appointed time, it is not peoples’ fault that they are held captive by the teachings of men. On the other hand, people who interpret the scriptures by force to achieve doctoral degrees in theology are going against God's laws and lying to others about God’s word. They cannot create truth just because they want to. There is only one God, one Jesus, and one scroll. There is only one who opens the sealed scroll and only one person who receives and testifies the revealed words of the opened scroll (Rv 5, Rv 10). Doesn’t this mean that learning from the person who was commanded to receive the scroll and teach it to people (“to peoples, nations, languages, and kings”) is obeying God's will? Only those who strive to learn from this person are true believers. Who else in the world, except the chosen promised pastor, has the wisdom to testify about the meanings of the prophecies of Revelation and their physical fulfillment?

What follows is a summary of the life of the promised pastor who received the words of the opened scroll. He grew up in the poor countryside of Korea and later joined in the Korean War effort. Although he did not attend church, he never missed a chance, morning and night, to pray to God. He read one chapter of the Bible every night before going to bed. On Sundays, he would climb to the top of a nearby mountain for his prayers. This man had the unique experience of seeing stars in the sky during the day. At one point, during his prayers to God, he saw these stars approaching him for three days in a row. From that time on, he began to receive severe persecution, which led him to attend church. On the first day he went to church, he climbed up a mountain and made a covenant with God, swearing by his own blood. After that, the promised pastor met the Lord, who was walking among the clouds of the sky, and he received an anointing from him. The Lord commanded him to write down what he saw, what is now, and what will take place later in a scroll, and the promised pastor obeyed by sending the letters to the seven messengers of the seven churches. After that, he received the opened scroll from an angel and was commanded to go and preach to the peoples, nations, languages, and kings held captive by Babylon. After receiving this command, the promised pastor headed to the place he was told to go and preach. Once there, he overcame all his enemies, and by overcoming, he was ordered to create the 12 tribes of God’s kingdom. He has done all this according to the Bible. All of these events are the fulfillment of the prophecies of Revelation. Just as the Jews at the time of the first coming who did not understand the prophecies rejected Jesus, people who do not understand Revelation today will not be able to believe in this testimony or this work. Only those who sincerely try to obey God's word will understand. They will verify for themselves whether this testimony is true and will eventually believe it.

Mastery of the words of the sealed scroll is the most precious and valuable work that has been accomplished throughout the 2,000 years of New Testament biblical history. Ignorant people who have received evil spirits might hate this work, but instead of “judging a book by its cover,” all believers should realize that the word the promised pastor has received is the food of eternal life. It is vitally important to each and every one of us. This testimony has become a gospel of pure joy preached to people for the first time since the creation of the world. This testimony of the revealed word will be the living water (i.e. the water of eternal life) to those who understand it. This testimony is what the promised pastor has received from Jesus according to the promises in Rv 2-3. We must not be like the priests or the devil who persecute the truth. Let us pray and strive to have good and noble hearts so that we can receive what is good and sacred.

We, the believers of Shincheonji, pray sincerely to God with the same heart as Noah, Moses, and Jesus for all the believers of the world.
