What is the Scroll Sealed with Seven Seals in Rv 5:1?

The sealed scroll contains prophecies that will be fulfilled in the end times of the given generation (Hb 2:2-3). Prophecies are given to people so that they might believe in the physical fulfillment of the prophecies when it arrives (Jn 14:29). Both the Old Testament (Is 29:9-14) and New Testament (Rv 5) are sealed. The sealed scroll in the Old Testament represented the prophecies that had to be fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming (Jn 19:30), and the sealed scroll in the New Testament represents the prophecies that have to be fulfilled at Jesus’ second coming (Rv 21:6).

No one in heaven, or on earth, or under the earth, knows the content of the sealed scroll (Is 29:11-12; Rv 5:3) until the time appointed for its fulfillment arrives (Hb 2:2-3). Anyone who claims to understand the sealed scroll before the appointed time is nothing but a liar and a false pastor who dares to deceive even God. Isn’t this kind of teaching—claiming to know the content of the mysterious scroll that God sealed with seven seals (Rv 5)—a lie of Satan, the king of lies?

The following explains how the sealed scroll was opened and conveyed in accordance with the prophecies in Ez 1-3. God came into the world while his chosen people were held captive by the gentiles. God opened and showed the sealed scroll to Jesus, the son of man. After eating the scroll, Jesus was sent to the place God commanded him to go and he did everything according to prophecy (Mt 11:27; Mt 15:24).

The purpose of our lives of faith is to obtain eternal life. Eternal life is knowing the only true God and the one whom he sent (Jn 17:3). How can people know the only true God? The scriptures clearly state that it is only through revelation that the only true God makes himself known to his people. The revelation of the sealed scroll in the Old Testament, in fact, was to appointed to occur at the end of the generation of Physical Israel.

Similarly, the revelation of the sealed scroll in the New Testament is appointed to occur at the end of the generation of Spiritual Israel. God gives the sealed scroll to Jesus, who takes the scroll (Rv 5:7) and breaks the seven seals. The prophecies of Revelation are fulfilled as the seals are opened one by one (Rv 6; Rv 8). The opened scroll is given to the promised pastor through an angel. After he eats the scroll, the promised pastor is sent to the place where God’s chosen people are being held captive (Rv 10).

In conclusion, no one knows the only true God except for Jesus and those to whom he gives the revelation: the pastor promised in the New Testament who eats the scroll and those who receive the revelation from that promised pastor. Thus, people obtain eternal life by knowing the only true God, Jesus, and the one who overcomes. The one who overcomes is the pastor promised in the New Testament who comes in the name of the Lord. We in SCJ have received the opened scroll from heaven and have been testifying about the physical fulfillment of Revelation according to what we have seen and heard. Please come and see!
