Pastors and Their Congregation Members

Pastors and Their Congregation Members

Over the past 2,000 years of their existence, the churches of Spiritual Israel (i.e. Christianity) have slowly become churches of the world (refer to Rv 18:2-3). There is no one in the churches of the world who knows God, Jesus, and the advocate—the promised pastor. This world has become as dark as night because the sun, moon, and stars have fallen (refer to Mt 24:29; Rv 6:12-14). Churches have become possessions of the world without even realizing it. Pastors and their congregation members claim to have received salvation and the holy spirit; they claim to be orthodox, but these claims are lies. They are living false lives of faith. This is because the end of Spiritual Israel has come.

I myself was in the same situation as these pastors and their congregation members. I was not born again because I was righteous, nor was it through my own strength or effort. It was because Jesus wanted to reveal God, himself, and the will of God as it is written in the Bible to the world’s churches by sending them his messenger. That is why Jesus has chosen me (refer to Rv 22:16; Jn 16:14-15).

Revelation 1:16 and 1:20 refer to seven messengers as seven stars working in Jesus’ right hand. Since these messengers refused to listen and decided instead to despise me, who will listen to me? Despite receiving all kinds of contempt, scorn, curses, and persecution, I continue to walk on my path. I have had to overcome so much because I have been charged with proclaiming God, Jesus, and the Bible that contains their will to the people of the world who do not know them. How pitiful and wretched I must look in the sight of God!

The sun, moon, and stars are still shining in the sky. People’s hearts, on the other hand, are as dark as night. Believers were trying to carry out their lives of faith in hope for heaven, but the world is just too full of lies. The world is so dark that believers have lost their way.

Pastors and their congregation members carry out their lives of faith in an effort to enter heaven and attain eternal life (refer to Jn 6:40, Jn 17:3; 2 Tm 4:18). John 17:3 says, “Now this is eternal life—that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.” If you read Mt 11:27, you will understand that it is only when we receive the revelation from Jesus when he descends from heaven, that we can truly know God. This is why Ez 2 and 3 prophesy about the son of man (Jesus) eating the scroll (the Bible) from God and proclaiming it to the rebellious house of Israel.

<The situation at the first coming>

At the time of the first coming, the world became a possession of the devil because God’s chosen people of Israel betrayed him (refer to Mt 4:8-9, Mt 23). God chose Jesus and dwelled within him (Mt 1:21-23; Jn 1:32, Jn 10:30). The devil, too, chose the Pharisees and dwelled within them (refer to Jn 8:44). Intense spiritual battles began with the appearance of these two opposing groups (refer to Jn 3:31-36, Jn 8). By overcoming the world, Jesus defeated the devil (spiritual win; Jn 16:33) and fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies at the time of the first coming (Jn 19:30).

<The New Testament and a proper life of faith at the second coming>

When the tabernacle of the seven stars who prepared the way betrayed, Spiritual Israel fell into the total darkness of night because this tabernacle represented Spiritual Israel (refer to Rv 6). This is why the churches of Jesus—symbolized by the field where Jesus sowed the seed—have become the churches of the world that belong to the devil (Rv 17, Rv 18). Today, just like 2,000 years ago at the time of the first coming, people who can distinguish the pastor chosen by Jesus from the devil’s pastors will overcome the devil with a proper life of faith. Jesus dwells with the person he chooses (refer to Rv 3:12, 21), and the devil dwells with the people he chooses (refer to Rv13:1-5). These two groups fight spiritual battles against one another (Rv 12), and these battles throw believers into confusion (refer to Rv 6:12-14, Rv 16:17-19).

At this time of war, the path leading people to eternal life is knowing the only true Jesus and one person Jesus chooses. Only those who receive the revelation of the New Testament from the Lord’s messenger—the one chosen by Jesus to speak on his behalf—can truly know Jesus and be saved (refer to Mt 11:27; Jn 17:3; Rv 1:1-3, Rv 10, Rv 22:16).

Although this fact is explained in the Bible, will the people of the world who have never heard this before believe it? The Lord’s messenger does not speak on his own. He testifies what he has seen and heard according to the command of Jesus. After receiving the revelation from Jesus, Apostle Paul threw away the knowledge he had accumulated in the world as rubbish. He then proceeded to teach the revelation he received just as Jesus did (Phil 3:7-9; Gal 1:11-12).

People who obey the law are justified by faith in the time of faith (Gal 2:16, Gal 3:23-24), but the law itself consists merely of elementary teachings (Gal 4:3-5). Rather than simply continuing to believe in the fulfillment of the Old Testament, it is now time for people to believe in the fulfillment of the New Testament and learn the theology of the revealed word.

Today, we in Shincheonji are proclaiming the revelation of Jesus Christ in the New Testament. If the true revelation already existed in the world, why would we proclaim it again? Although this revelation has been hidden for the past 2,000 years, it has now been opened and we are proclaiming it to the world (Rv 5:1-7, Rv 6, Rv 10). This revelation is truly precious because it is the source of life.

Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and testified about its fulfillment (i.e. he proclaimed the testimony of the revealed word) at the time of the first coming (Mt 11:27). Today, we in Shincheonji are proclaiming the revelation of the fulfillment of the New Testament. This revealed word of the New Testament is essential for those of us living today at the end of the age. Without receiving this revelation, people cannot fully know God and Jesus, nor can they fully understand the meaning of the words in the Bible. Without receiving this revelation, people cannot realize whether the New Testament prophecies have been fulfilled. Obviously, people who do not know whether the New Testament promises have been fulfilled cannot believe in that fulfillment. Without believing in the fulfillment, people cannot attain salvation, enter heaven, or obtain eternal life. God chose Jesus and gave him the revelation of the Old Testament so that Jesus could proclaim it. In the same way, Jesus has chosen a pastor, given him the revelation of the New Testament and helped him to overcome so he can proclaim it to the world.

To all the beloved believers of the world! We must realize who we are and the time in which we are living. We must not be complacent like people in the times of Noah and Lot. We should not belong to pastors who lack the truth of the revelation. At the time of the harvest, those who believe the words of their own pastors become the weeds that are tied up and burned. Only those who are harvested by hearing the revealed word from the harvesters will attain salvation (refer to Mt 13:30). These are the words promised by the Lord in the Bible.

Today is the time of Revelation’ fulfillment and the time of the second coming. Everyone must find the place that harvests and seals the good grain with the sickles of revelation—the place that creates the twelve tribes (Rv 7, Rv 14). It is only in this place that God, Jesus, their angels, and heaven dwell (Rv 21). Let us understand the time in which we are living correctly. Let us understand our location, ourselves, and our deeds through the lens of the Bible. Let us become believers who attain salvation through faith.
