What are the broken old covenant and the new covenant, and who made them with whom respectively? First, let us find out about the broken old covenant. In Genesis 15, God had promised to Abraham what He would fulfill in the future, and God fulfilled this promise through Moses when the time came. God made a covenant again through Moses with the Israelites who came out of Egypt, and the content is recorded in Exodus 19:5-6.

“Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”
However, this covenant was broken by the Israelites worshipping gentile gods at the time of Solomon after they entered the land of Canaan (1 Kgs 11). As a result, Israel was captured by a gentile nation. This is the broken old covenant. Thus, Physical Israel was not able to become God’s kingdom and priests or a holy nation, and the covenant made with God was broken. For that reason, it is said in Hosea 6:7, “Like Adam, they have broken the covenant.”
Next, let us look at Jeremiah 31:31-33.

"The time is coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
God’s promise that was made through Jeremiah, saying, “I will make a new covenant,” was fulfilled about 600 years later, at the time of Jesus’ first coming. Jesus made a new covenant in Luke 22:20 and this was the fulfillment of what God had promised to Jeremiah.

“No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
The new covenant that Jesus promised is what he made with his disciples through his blood during the night of Passover. He promised to drink the wine, that is, Jesus’ blood and flesh (refer to Jn 6:51-57) anew in his Father’s kingdom, and instead of his blood and flesh, Jesus said to remember him through bread and wine (Mt 26:26-29, Lk 22:14-20).
When and where do we eat Jesus’ blood and flesh which represents the new covenant that God made through Jesus? If we eat the fruit of the tree of life, then we live, and if we instead eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then we die. Likewise, if we eat Jesus’ blood and flesh, we live eternally, but if we don’t, we die (Jn 6:51-57).
When will this new covenant in his blood be fulfilled?
The new covenant that Jesus spoke about, the New Testament, is fulfilled at the second coming of Jesus. As seen in Revelation 1:5-6, 5:9-10, 7:14, 12:11, the blood that Jesus shed 2,000 years ago takes effect at this time, and the promised Revelation of the New Testament is fulfilled. Thus, at the Second Coming, Jesus has freed us from our sins and made us to be God’s kingdom and priests through his blood; this is not the old covenant or the broken covenant at the time of Moses, but the new covenant that Jesus promised at the First Coming which has been fulfilled today at the time of the fulfillment of Revelation of the New Testament.
God has worked for 6,000 years since Adam sinned to fulfill Revelation of the New Testament, and this Revelation is a compilation of what is promised in the 27 books of the New Testament. In order for Revelation to be fulfilled, there must be the blood of Jesus. The blood that Jesus shed 2,000 years ago takes effect or provides power in Revelation. That is, fighting and overcoming the group of the dragon, receiving forgiveness of sins, creating God’s kingdom and priests and people cannot be done without the blood. Fighting and overcoming Satan is a great work, receiving forgiveness of sins is also a great work, and creating God’s kingdom and priests and His people is a great work as well. All this work can be completed through the blood of Jesus. This is the work regarding the new covenant. This is the covenant of the blood in which congregation members must believe.
Just like we have to keep promises between people, there is salvation only if we keep the covenant made with God. Those who do not keep this covenant cannot receive salvation, and those who keep it can receive salvation. Those who keep the covenant are the ones that believe and act according to God’s will, and those who do not keep it are the ones that neither act according to His will nor believe in it. The content of the new covenant does not merely mean that we received atonement and salvation since Jesus shed his blood for us, sinners. The reason why Jesus’ blood is needed is recorded in the new covenant. As mentioned above, Jesus’ blood is needed to receive atonement, to fight and overcome the group of the dragon, and to create God’s kingdom and priests and people. This is the content of the new covenant.
There are those who kept the covenant and those who did not at the time of Moses, in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament. Revelation is a compilation of the new covenant, and in John 14:29, it is said that we were told in advance (prophecy) so that when it does happen, we will believe.
When Jesus came and fulfilled the Old Testament, the pastors of Jerusalem did not know about this Old Testament. Also, since they did not preach this to their congregation members, they didn’t believe in the fulfillment of the Old Testament and Jesus. Likewise, the Christian Council of Korea (CCK), which is an example of traditional Christianity today, neither knows about the New Testament nor teaches it to their congregation members. So, they, along with their congregation members, do not recognize the fulfillment of the New Testament and the promised pastor, but only persecute.
A true pastor walks with God, has truth in his mouth, and becomes a messenger who speaks on behalf of God. Their appointed task is to make known the fulfillment of the Old Testament and the prophecy of the New Testament that will be fulfilled or appear to the congregation members so that when it is fulfilled, they can know, acknowledge, and believe in it. However, a pastor who turns from the way and does not keep God’s word and promise becomes a betrayer that abandons the covenant.
The fulfillment of the New Testament never waits, and it will take place soon when the appointed time comes. If the believers today do not believe in the fulfillment of the New Testament, then there will be no salvation, and the sins of the pastors who do not teach the New Testament will not be little. All people will receive judgment and they will go to either the kingdom of heaven or hell according to their deeds. Once the New Testament is fulfilled, it will never come again. What the congregation members should believe in the New Testament is the fulfillment of Revelation.
Let us, the congregation members of Shincheonji, teach the fulfillment of Revelation from the New Testament to the pastors and their congregation members in traditional churches, especially to the pastors of the CCK. Just as Jesus and his disciples preached the fulfillment of the Old Testament (Jn 19:30) at the First Coming, let us testify to the fulfillment of the New Testament (Rv 21:6) to the pastors of the CCK and their congregation members. This is our appointed task today, and eternal gospel (Rv 14:6).
God’s will and purpose is to fulfill the new covenant (New Testament), and our appointed task is to believe and keep the fulfillment of the New Testament, the new covenant. Those who do not know the big difference between the kingdom of heaven and hell will ignore this. Those who know the eternal punishment and eternal life will believe and keep the promise (New Testament).
Now is the time when the dragon is seized and God reigns. Let us all keep the new covenant so that we can live together in the kingdom of God.
