The Identity of God and the Identity of Satan

The Identity of God and the Identity of Satan

Main references: Jn 1:1-4, Jn 8:42-47 (Mt 7:15-20, 1 Jn 4)

How is the identity of God different from the identity of Satan?

God is the master who created all creation. And Satan is a created being who tried to become God himself due to his pride and greed, and as a result, was expelled and became Satan, the one who speaks lies. This is the difference between God and Satan.

The serpent that deceived Eve, which was Satan, told a lie to Eve that even though you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will surely not die and will be like God (Gn 3:5). The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is not only good, but good and evil mixed together. If this were a person, then there would be good words and deeds, evil words or lies and acts, and also acts of betrayal where good has turned to evil. As such, since there are lies in those words, this is the word of deception.

What we know from this is that good deeds and lives die due to betrayal. God is life, goodness, love and truth. Therefore, the moment a person betrays, he is departing from life or their life is being cut off. Also due to an act of betrayal, good deeds die and disappear. Since God, who is love, leaves [a person], an evil being, Satan, takes up the place. By breaking the covenant and committing sin by lying, the truth leaves and the falsehood takes up its place. Thus, changed from the image and likeness of God, the person becomes clothed with the heart, image, and behavior of Satan. Furthermore, that person becomes one with Satan’s word, Satan’s power, Satan’s teachings, and Satan’s doctrines.

Everyone knows that the ones who kill people are demons, the devil, and Satan. Since God is the creator and a parent, He loves us (people) with the heart of a parent. He gave birth to living beings so this means He gave birth to life. The devil makes [people] die whereas God makes them live. Not that we are unaware of this, but we cannot practice good deeds within the power and reign of Satan. The reason for this is because even though we try to practice good deeds, Satan disturbs us from doing them and drags us to evil. People persecuting, cursing, lying, and committing evil acts are doing so because they are with the spirit of Satan.

The one who acts according to the will and commandments of God belongs to God, and the one who does not act according to the will of God belongs to Satan. Whether one acts according to the will of God or not should be based on the Bible. There is the one who acts according to the Word and the one who acts in his own way regardless of the Word. Then who would be the one who acts according to God’s will? The one who departs from the Word of promise is the identity of Satan, and the one who acts according to the Word of promise is the identity of God. The one who believes in the promise, that is the New Testament, is the one who belongs to God.
